Dr. Hannah McColl joined the Equine Specialty Hospital in 2024 to complete a 1 year internship. Dr. McColl grew up locally in Solon, Ohio. She attended The University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio for her undergraduate degree. While at school she competed on the university’s IHSA Hunt Seat team, riding at the national competition twice. After completing her Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Animal Science in 2019, Dr. McColl moved abroad to London, England to attend the Royal Veterinary College for her Veterinary Medicine degree and graduated in 2024.

Dr. McColl has previously externed twice at ESH in 2022 and 2023. Some of her other notable externships include: Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, KY, Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic in Norfolk, UK, Buckingham Equine Vets in Milton Keynes, UK and Egypt Equine Aid in Cairo, Egypt.

Dr. McColl is very excited to return from across the pond and begin her veterinary career. In her spare time, Dr. McColl enjoys going to hot yoga classes, playing the cello, snuggling with her one-eyed cat, Wink, and listening to Taylor Swift.
