Event Description:
|
Emergencies are a critical part of our lives as equine practitioners, and successful
outcomes can be achieved with prompt veterinary intervention. Our 5th annual conference,
entitled “Triage and Treatment of Equine Emergencies,” focuses specifically on field
management of fractures, respiratory distress, epistaxis, neurologic diseases, reproductive
emergencies, and ocular disorders. Instead of the traditional lecture series each
topic will be presented in a case-based format. This change will help us provide
a clear picture of the case at presentation and more easily illustrate the diagnostic
tests, treatment options, and final outcome of each case. The topics will also be
supported with corresponding door prizes, including a Kimzey splint, a self-retaining
tracheotomy tube, a foal resuscitation kit, and an ocular examination kit with a
magnifying head-loupe. Please reserve October 29 and register soon to participate
in our fall conference.
